This is a stunning sculpting is created out of wood and is treated with a special plaster effect. It is inspired around the unifying word "Peace", crafted in Arabic calligraphy.
The design was inspired by Landmark Lustatian Lakeland, as the project sits in a peaceful natural environment, which supports the meaning of the sculpture “السلام” or “peace”. The project has a sharp high structure and diagonal circulation gestures. Similarly, the form of the sculpture uses sharp edges and diagonal cuts of the letters to reflect the presence of “السلام” or “peace”.
Overall size of sculpting is 51cm x 72cm.
About the Artist
AL is an initiative found by the Syrian architect, and designer Sandra Boutros. It merges between art and architecture through designing for places. The main inspiration behind AL designs comes from architecture and places, as each piece is uniquely designed and inspired from a certain space or project.
